
In my Alternative Processes class, we started working on Van Dyke prints. I find this process much more rewarding than the cyanotype. I love the brown tone... and it is a lot faster, the emulsion dries under a minute while the cyanotype took 10 minutes or more to dry.
This print I made was from an old color positive, I made a larger black and white negative in the darkroom, and used that to create my van dyke. I'll be working on more of these this weekend.
There is more tonal range in the actual print, my scanner is not that great.
and that's that.
I'm also working on my (second) senior thesis, too.. more about that later.
